The greatest humanitarian crisis in the world is currently taking its toll on Yemen. Ever since tensions escalated in 2015, 24 million innocent civilians have been affected by the atrocities of war - 12 million of which are children. Yemeni people lack basic human rights, their daily lives have been forever changed with the destruction of their cities, homes, schools and even hospitals. This state has led into a vicious cycle where the country’s already battered economy has become even more fragile, risking food insecurity and a consequent famine on a staggering 10 million civilians. Making matters even worse, several COVID-19 cases have been detected within the country - a possible underestimate considering the lack of testing and healthcare present in those dire conditions.
